Christopher Deehy appointed as Vice-Chair of the CBA Labour and Employment National Section

Christopher Deehy was appointed as Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Labour and Employment National Section. He previously held the position of Secretary.

The CBA Labour and Employment Section’s mandate includes labour and employment law and practice. The section promotes professionalism, shares information and advocates on legal issues involving:

• Collective agreements
• Arbitration of labour disputes
• Labour-management relations
• Trade unions
• Boards and tribunals dealing with labour-management relations and employment standards
• Establishing these boards and appointing members
• Legal practice before labour-management and employment standards boards
