LAPOINTE ROSENSTEIN MARCHAND MELANÇON IS EMBARKING ON THE ENBRIDGE RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER
Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon is much more than just a law firm. It is first and foremost comprised of people who care and individuals who want to make a contribution to a cause that affects millions upon millions of people.
At the initiative of two of the firm’s young lawyers, Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer for the first time in 2013. The experience was so enriching and motivating for the team that they participated once again in 2014 and in 2015. In three years, the LRMM raised almost $155,000.
Proud of their success and having been deeply moved by the experience, the firm has once again decided to embark on this adventure in 2016 with a new dynamic and motivated team who will ride their bikes over 230 km this coming July 9th and 10th.

Under direction of Co-Captains, Philippe Dumaine and Sarah Laplante Bazzi, both attorneys practising in the field of commercial litigation, the new team will be comprised of 15 cyclists.
It is also noteworthy that the firm will benefit from the presence and support of Mtre Howard Dermer, president of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation and an attorney at the firm. He presided the first two editions of the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer in 2009 and 2010.
In order to participate in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, each cyclist is required to raise a minimum of $2,500. The LRMM Team must therefore raise at least $35,000, but the team isn’t satisfied with this minimum objective. That being said, the LRMM Team has sets its own objective of raising at least $45,000.
To attain their target, the LRMM team will not hold back with its fundraising efforts. Beyond each team member's solicitation of everyone in their entourage and organising personal fundraising activities, the LRMM team will hold a series of fundraising activities within the firm, including weekly breakfasts, theme lunches, raffles, and jeans days.

The LRMM team will also be counting upon the generosity of numerous sponsors. In exchange for their financial contribution, sponsors will see their logo emblazoned on the clothes which will be proudly worn by the team’s cyclists during the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer for all sponsors who confirm prior to April 29, 2016.

Beyond the measures taken to maximise fundraising, the LRMM team's cyclists will also need to train! Pedaling from Montreal to Quebec over two days is a significant challenge for certain of the LRMM team members. Some of them have never ridden such a great distance! Each member will have to complete a solid training through the upcoming weeks.
Activities will certainly not be lacking from now to July 9th. Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon and its team will be going all out for the 2016 edition of the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. Each of the LRMM team members has his or her respective reasons behind taking on this challenge, though everyone is driven by the same cause: bringing a concrete contribution to the advancement of research so we can triumph over cancer. The team is resolved to give their utmost in order to make this edition of the Ride to Conquer Cancer a tremendous success.
